About health screenings

日本一本道a不卡免费Blood is collected by a venous draw, which is a puncture to a vein, most commonly in the arm. Fasting for eight hours before a blood draw is required and employees receive results in the mail within seven to 10 business days.

ASU benefits-eligible employees with a state of Arizona insurance card can get a 30-minute health screening with immediate results. RSVP required. 

Other tests are available for as low as a $20 copay. Cash, check, MasterCard/Visa are acceptable forms of payment. Bring your ASU ID and Benefit Options insurance card to the screening. 

Fasting for eight hours required. Water and medications are permitted.

Assertiveness | 45-60 minutes
日本一本道a不卡免费Are you someone who sits back to avoid conflict and are looking for an effective way to change this about yourself? When and how do you stand up for your personal boundaries? There is a fine line between aggressive behavior and behavior that is assertive. Learn the difference and how to use both effectively. This class will give you practical tools and examples of how to use assertiveness to obtain your goals of success without compromising your integrity.  

Dealing with difficult people | 45-60 minutes
Want to learn more about how to recover emotionally, intellectually and physically from a difficult encounter? Learn to recognize and respond to potential internal and external problems. Learn to identify and access recovery-prevention strategies and resources.

Grief in the workplace 
Resources and onsite debriefing with a licensed provider to address a recent loss experienced by a work team. Identifies the impact of loss on productivity and the normal and varying reactions to workplace grief.  

Managing transitions | 45 minutes
Change is the Only Constant. This workshop increases participants' understanding of the nature of organizational change, the process individuals go through as a result of any change in their lives and strategies to increase resiliency when faced with these types of transitions.

Mental health basics for managers |  60 minutes
日本一本道a不卡免费Find out more about the prevalence of mental health issues in the workplace. This course is designed for those that manage others as well as those with human resource responsibilities within their units. Individuals will learn how to create a workplace that supports an employee's well-being and how to effectively support and manage those with mental health conditions. Group discussion, participant engagement and problem-solving approaches will be used as learning strategies throughout the workshop. 

Mindfulness | 60 minutes
日本一本道a不卡免费What’s all the buzz about mindfulness? This class will teach you what mindfulness is and help you learn to control your mind rather than let it control you. You'll learn how to decrease stress, balance emotions and improve interpersonal effectiveness. Participants will practice some brief mindfulness exercises in class and learn six steps to live mindfully.

Sleep | 45 minutes
Having trouble falling or staying asleep? Do you want to increase your sleep quality and feel more rested? Structuring your sleep pattern can go a long way toward improving the consistency and quality of your sleep. Learn techniques and identify disruptions to develop effective sleep hygiene for your life.

Stress management | 45 minutes
An educational and experiential class for groups of all sizes that focuses on understanding the stress response, the implications of exposure to prolonged stress and coping skills to manage the harmful attributes associated with stress. Participants will also engage in stress reduction exercises using experiential activities.

Welcome to the employee assistance office 

This workshop, a perfect professional development opportunity for employees and managers, offers an overview of the EAO, and discusses eligibility, accessing care, confidentiality practices, signs and symptoms and managerial referrals. EAO’s role in the behavioral review team, a multidisciplinary group that addresses high-risk behaviors at ASU, also is highlighted to increase awareness of this critical team's function.

Weight-loss programs

Benefits-eligible employees, spouses and dependents age 18 and older can choose from and a  offered by the Arizona Department of Administration, Benefit Services Division. These evidence-based programs provide the support and tools to achieve your personal wellness goals.
