Parking basics

At all times, unless otherwise posted, drivers must do one of the following:

  • Display an ASU permit and park in the location indicated on the permit.
  • Display an ASU permit while cross-parking.
  • Pay for parking by the day or hour using the machine located in the parking lot, via Parkmobile or at a structure's exit.

Avoid a citation

ASU does not provide free parking日本一本道a不卡免费. Follow these tips to avoid a parking citation:

  • Consider purchasing additional time due to ASU events or other uncontrollable factors such as a class not getting out in time.

    • 日本一本道a不卡免费Some lots do not allow for time extension since they are for short-term visitor parking.

  • Do not share a permit with friends or family.

    • Permits allow for one entry and exit at a time. Sharing a permit to avoid hourly parking rates may result in citation, fees or loss of parking privileges.

    • If you drive multiple cars to campus, you must add them to the permit in your transportation account.

  • Do not tailgate another vehicle entering or exiting the structure.

  • Ensure the gate arm at a structure lowers completely before pulling a ticket to activate the lift function.

  • 日本一本道a不卡免费Make sure you pay by entering your license plate number in a pay-by-plate lot.

    • Take a picture of your license plate for a reference.

  • Never park in a handicap, reserved or ASU service vehicle space, or along a red curb.

  • Read signs and curb markings as you enter a parking space.

  • Use Parkmobile日本一本道a不卡免费 or a credit card to pay. ASU no longer accepts cash for parking payments in visitor lots. 

Cross-parking

日本一本道a不卡免费A benefit available to ASU parking permit holders, cross-parking allows for parking in designated areas on all ASU campuses.

Permits that do not qualify for cross-parking are the Polytechnic campus Evening and West campus Evening permits.

Cross-parking eligible permits are valid at all times in these locations:

Downtown Phoenix campus Polytechnic campus Tempe campus West campus
4th Ave. Lot Perimeter Zone lots Lot 59E, Lot 59 | north of Rio Salado Pkwy Park Zone Lot

 

Cross-parking eligible permits are valid after 4 p.m. in these locations:

Downtown Phoenix campus Polytechnic campus Tempe campus West campus

1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Avenue lots 

All permit lots Lot 3 | when there is not a

    Lot 58, Lot 59 and Lot 59E | when there is not an event in a north campus athletic venue.  

 

Daily and Hourly

Sun Devils who do not have a parking permit and university visitors may pay for parking by the day or hour at the four ASU campuses.

Permits

Permit types available for ASU students, faculty and staff include annual, fall semester-only and motorcycle, as well as sustainable options such as carpool and Eco-Pass.

Purchase annual, fall semester-only and motorcycle permits through one's . Visit a campus PTS office to purchase an Eco-Pass or to obtain a carpool permit.
