Sustainable purchasing guidelines

ASU Purchasing and Business Services in conjunction with University Sustainability Practices, has implemented Sustainable Purchasing Guidelines for procuring products and services that support and advance ASU's sustainability efforts.

日本一本道a不卡免费The goal of this policy is to improve the sustainability impact of the university’s procurement of goods and services from manufacturers and suppliers by purchasing from those who share our commitment to sustainability and leveraging the buying power of ASU to incentivize others to work towards our standards.

日本一本道a不卡免费Sustainable purchasing is the method whereby ASU strives to consider environmental, social, and economic issues equally and synergistically, considering the entire life-cycle of a good or service.

The guidelines apply to the following categories of goods and services purchased by the university:

  1. Energy and Carbon.

  2. Water.

  3. Toxins and pollutants.

  5. Forest Conservation.

  6. Zero Waste and Circular Resources.

  7. Buildings and Landscaping.

  8. Transportation.

  9. Food.

  10. Garments and Linens.
